AI is changing the world. It is changing our tools, shaping economy, transforming how we work.
But more importantly, AI will change every layer of our societal infrastructure. This is where we have opportunity to innovate in ways that also wasn’t possible before.
As UIs of today are very different from writing assembly, the way society will work tomorrow will be very different from today.
We need new models for government. New models for justice system. For finance, healthcare.
We need new model for civil society and democracy.
We cannot carry today’s institutions into age of abundance of intelligence and acceleration. They are crumbling even today, struggling to adapt to technologies of yesterday. I don’t think I need to provide examples – just look at the news: wars, polarization, failures of governance, people losing faith, and so much pain.
Institutions we have are a foundation. But this foundation needs work, and then it needs to be built upon. And it needs people who are excited to do this work!
Future is bright, and it is ours to build. Not just new tech. Not just space frontiers or climate solutions. But also building institutions and systems that will support the society and world of tomorrow, learning from mistakes of the past, and using this new incredible tech.
